Privacy Policy

Kyzyl-Kiya is a marketplace for the city of Kyzyl-Kiya, Kyrgyzstan: the website kyzylkiya.city and the Android and iOS apps. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how to remove it.
What we collect
Your phone number. It is used to sign in: a code is sent by SMS. There is no other sign-in method.
Your name and profile picture, if you choose to add them. Both are optional.
What you publish yourself: listing title, description, price, photos, city district.
Your cart and favourites - the lists you build.
Records of listing payments: amount, time, payment status.
Technical records: the network address (IP) and time of SMS code requests, plus ordinary web server access logs.
What we do NOT collect
Location. The app never requests access to location data in any form.
Contacts, calendar, microphone, or files other than the photos you pick yourself.
The device advertising identifier. It is deliberately removed from the app.
Bank card details. Payment is handled by the payment provider; card numbers never reach us.
We do not install third-party analytics or advertising scripts.
What other people can see
A published listing is visible to everyone: title, description, price, photos, district, and the seller name and phone number - otherwise buyers could not reach you.
Your cart, favourites, drafts and payment records are visible only to you.
Who we share data with
The SMS provider - only the phone number and the code, so the message can be delivered.
The payment provider - the amount and payment reference when you pay for a listing.
No one else. We do not sell data and do not share it for advertising.
Data may be disclosed to state authorities where the law of the Kyrgyz Republic requires it.
Where data is stored
On our server in the Kyrgyz Republic. Only the owner of the platform has access to it. Connections to the website and the app are encrypted (HTTPS). Backups are made daily and kept on the same server.
How long we keep data
For as long as you have an account. After you close your account the data is fully deleted 14 days later - that window exists in case you change your mind and want to come back.
Payment records are kept longer where accounting rules require it.
How to delete your data
In the app: Profile - Settings - Close account. You will be asked to confirm your own phone number.
On the website the same option is in your account area.
If you cannot sign in, write to kyzylkyacity@gmail.com from the number you registered with and we will delete the account manually.
A single listing can be unpublished at any time without closing the account.
Children
The platform is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data. If such data reaches us, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
